Changes to our Website
To make it easier to keep you up to date with all classes, socials & events, from the end of this month there will be a section on the front page of our website titled 'This Month'.

This will contain details of the month ahead and tell you what dances will be covered on each class, (we thought this would be especially helpful with the Sequence classes), socials (including our new monthly ones), workshops and event up-dates.

Dance Shoes
At my Summer Dance on 23rd July we will have a stall provided by Supadance selling dance shoes and accessories.

They will be attending several events throughout the year as an ongoing thing. The feedback I regularly hear from people attending my classes is that it is hard to find decent shoes in the local area. Supadance are a well-known quality British brand that sponsors many high-profile dancers and competitions.

Great News
Thanks to the success of our events at the Monaco Ballroom I have been given the honour of being offered several dates at the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom and, also, a weekly daytime spot as the compere and music provider.

My first weekly slot will be Thursday 9th June, 12-3pm, followed the week after on Friday 17th June, 12-3pm. If you can make it on Thursday I would be eternally grateful of the support as it is safe to say nerves are sneaking in!

April 2011
Blackpool Tower
We are happy to announce our first ever event at the world-famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom on the 22nd October, 2011.

Due to the great success of our consistant sell-out shows at the Monaco, we have been asked to bring our touch of Hurst Dance class to the Tower Ballroom.

This will be our biggest event ever with a capcity crowd and magnificent demonstration from Mark & Olga Elsbury. We also have the backing of the world-renowned dance band, DSI. Don't delay get your tickets today.

Private Lessons
I can also now say to everyone that has been inundating me with requests to teach more in Wigan that I am now available 7 days a week for private tuition.

September 2009
Monaco Ballroom
It has been 18 months now since I began my mission to bring the social back to the Monaco and bring theStrictly show and stars to Wigan, and it is a huge success. We even got on last year's Strictly Come Dancing, but this is only because of the dedication and enthusiasm of all of you that attend, so thank you – it means a lot to me. I would also like to thank my Mum & Dad and my sister, Laura– without them I simply couldn't have even got going.

Still On Every Wednesday
8-11pm playing a fabulous mixture of
50/50 music

Kids Classes
I am pleased to announce my new mission for this year is to inspire and produce a new generation of dancers in our famous dance-loving area. For many years, dancing was massively popular in and around Wigan and produced some great champions – this was thanks to an amazing man named Tommy Moss (the first world Latin American champion to come from Wigan). I hope to continue in his footsteps and keep dancing alive and our kids winning.

Charity Snowdon Climb
I would like to thank everyone that sponsored by Dad on his latest mission for charity. I am happy to let you know that on the 5th September he made it to the summit of Mount Snowdon in 2 hours 50 minutes, raising lots of money for Darien House Children's Hospice. Not a bad time ey!! He has run marathons and even did the Krypton Factor for charity. I am so proud of my Dad that it has motivated me to do something good for charity. Unfortunately, I did not inherit his athleticism so I will do what I am good at, so, next year, I will be starting an annual charity dance – details soon.

May 2009
The Paul O'Grady Show
Two of my younger dance students appeared on the Paul O'Grady show on Monday 11th May. They have been dancing at Trujons Dance Centre now for a number of years and were picked to start the show with a Tango. Some of you may recognise them as they have recently done a demonstration for me at one of my socials. If you missed the show you can click here to watch their performance. They also met Darren Bennet and Lilia Kopolova who are favourites for both dancers. News soon spreads and they also appeared in the local paper – click here for the article. You can see a couple of pictures from their day either side of this article.

September 2008
Hurst Dance show appears on Strictly – it takes two
We were lucky enough to be contacted by the BBC having heard about our fabulous shows, requesting to come and film our latest showcase with 'Strictly' stars Ian & Camilla. They performed a wonderful show as always along with our top amateur couple, Kyle Taylor & Jourdan Stone, and both received a standing ovation. A showreel of the event was wired with interviews from some of our guests in September.
